About Us
Welcome to the East Central Branch of the Florida Section American Society of Civil Engineers. The East Central Branch of the Florida Section was founded in 1958 and includes members from Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia Counties. We have an award-winning Branch, which is one of the most active in Florida Section and the Nation. We have many active technical groups, regular outreach & service opportunities, annual networking & social events and numerous opportunities to continue your professional education. We are glad you have found us and hope you will join us at one of our many events in the near future. We have many opportunities to engage with ASCE right here in Central Florida.

Join ASCE ECB/YMF Mentorship Program
Calling all Branch members! ECB is pleased to announce the return of our mentorship program with the ASCE-UCF Student Chapter. The program will run during the 2026-2027 school year and provide a valuable resource to the next generation of engineers.
Last year's program was a huge success and we need YOU to make it happen again! All Branch members (including Younger Members) are invited to volunteer as mentors. You will be paired with a student and meet with them monthly on your own schedule.

ASCE East Central Branch COPRI Institute
The Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute (COPRI) is ASCE's technical institute dedicated to advancing the planning, design, construction, operation, and resilience of coastal, waterfront, port, riverine, and marine infrastructure. COPRI brings together engineers, scientists, planners, contractors, owners, and students to address the challenges facing our nation's waterways and coastlines through technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation. The ASCE East Central Branch COPRI Institute provides a local forum for professionals interested in maritime, coastal, environmental, and water resources engineering to connect through technical presentations, site visits, networking events, professional development opportunities, and community outreach. Whether you are an experienced practitioner, young professional, or student, COPRI offers opportunities to expand your knowledge, build your professional network, and contribute to the future of resilient waterfront infrastructure.
